Back to Blogging

Hello friends, and welcome to Sheer Sherlock,

First things first, I feel as if this blog has been long overdue. You know it, and I know it. The thing is, this should have happened a long time ago. But, I went to school, life got busy, and here we are! In my previous attempts at "blogging" I sincerely felt as if I wasn't ready for the undertaking. I felt as if I needed to take a step back and truly consider what I wanted to share on this platform, and how I wanted that to look. I'm not your typical young woman, if I do say so myself, and so I never wanted this to be your typical blog.

There was a lot of hesitation on my part when starting blogs in the past. Being a person that strives for excellence, I was constantly waiting for my photographs and written content to feel perfect. I now realise that you just have to go for it. Perfection, as an artist, is an impossible thing to chase. Our craft and we as individuals are always evolving and growing. There are so many interpretations of what great content is. In my opinion, it is simply work done with a ton of dedication and heart. It is an extension of oneself, regardless of what may be presented. We simply must put our best foot forward.

I finally feel ready to tackle this, and I'm going to stick to it this time. Rather than feeling pressured to start a blog, I feel a genuine passion towards what this could become. As many of you know, I have a passion for photography and writing and I would love to use my blog as a platform to transform those two things into meaningful content for you all to enjoy. I live in New York City, and attend Parsons School of Design, both of which (I think) contain great stories in themselves.

Pull up a chair, and tell your friends, because new content is coming soon. It's going to be amazing!

Until then,

-Meredith
